The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.
Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.
Besides being one of the best-selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also created and performed the music that defined generations — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.
In early 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.
However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences worldwide through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.
Ask Google “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.
Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to Las Vegas, where, two years later, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.
In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.
What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.
He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”
He continues to sell out theaters nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.
Garrett has also won numerous awards, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Alexis Park Las Vegas Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.
Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
